Financial fiasco, or how to kill business in America.

The financial overhaul bill went through congress and has only to be signed by Obama.  It’s almost as thick as the health care bill is at 2500 pages, you know they didn’t read it. This will cause even more mischief for the People as they are robbed and financially beaten by the banks and the government.  Have a business that they don’t like, you can be seen as a threat to the economy and taken over, no court order, no appeal and no you will not get compensated.  Remember the Bunny Ranch?  Well the government could not run that either and it closed.  I wonder if skimming will come back to Las Vegas Casinos.

This is fascism, private ownership with government control.    This financial law has more regulations than the healthcare bill and we have no idea what those are going to be.  Will they be fair, the short answer is no. This will increase the instability in the countries financial system and cause major headaches and even higher taxes for the rest of us.  Again the progressive democratic machine has robbed Americans and is putting our money in their pockets.

If Harry was a true Nevadan he would have opposed this legislation, but Harry has cut Medicare by 50% and they are in the process of instituting "evaluation panels" to see who gets care.  Prior statements of the person in charge of the “evaluation panels” are not encouraging for either the very young or the people over 65.  Their “Cost Benefit Analysis” will likely exclude many from treatment.

The phony solar power jobs that are touted by the democrats are losers of the highest order.  They loose 2 jobs for every job they create, the electricity is more expensive and it costs you twice.  The first in you money being used to build these losers and they charge you more for the electricity that comes from them.  To supply adequate power you would need hundreds of square miles of them.  Want power at night?  Forgetaboutit!!!

As a state Nevada can mollify somewhat the effects of the insane laws coming out of Washington.  We can oppose them in court, and in our states constitution.  Our state constitution can be a very effective shield against many of these insane laws.

Allow the people of Nevada to prosper and our truly needy to be taken care of at the same time.  It is indeed possible and with prosperity it is easy.

The state can cut taxes by 50% it can cut spending by 50-60 % and it can cut regulation by 60%.  That will bring in new business and real jobs.  Not the short lived construction jobs but jobs that will stick around.  The People of Nevada will be better for it.

The recent Supreme Court Ruling on owning a handgun

The recent Supreme Court ruling stating that a person has a right to own a hand gun and protect his home is not a ruling worthy of the Supreme Court.  IF they had said without restrictions or encumbrances, that would have been worthy of a Supreme Court Ruling.  I do wonder why they keep missing the last word in the amendment - INFRINGED.  The regulations in Washington DC and Chicago and other states and cities certainly do infringe on exercise of that right.

Chicago's antigun laws are worthless as their politicians.  These politicians are worthy of public scorn and investigation for corruption.  They have shown their proclivity for voyeurism by placing cameras all over the city to "watch" their citizens.  They do not protect their citizens, they pillage and tax everything insight.  I would have to surmise that they want the guns gone, so they can feel safe because only the criminals have guns.  The actual taxpaying public might decide to throw them out.

This 5-4 ruling makes a mockery of the Senate process to confirm Supreme Court Justices.  The progressive Candidate will LIE their way in and then show their true colors.  Anybody come to mind?  Justice Sotomyor?  Now they want to put in a Harvard Dean of law who has the same camouflage as Sotomyor.   The Republicans who are in the senate need to shoot this one down, but there are some who will not.  So this anti- constitutional harpy will get on the high courts bench and replace another anti-constitutional harpy.

We are having our own revolution and we are coming to set things right.  We are The People and we will have the government serve us.

Why Low Taxes are Required in Nevada.

A lot of people state that the taxes are already low in Nevada and that is in deed true, but only tells part of the story and leaves out what I feel is the most critical parts.

For many years Gaming has carried the bulk of the tax load in Nevada. And for a long time it seemed to make sense. Those that were here were at best shortsighted and never looked beyond the next election as far as I can tell. There were warning signs in the 80s and maybe some heard them, I don’t know. I was in California getting ready to move to Oklahoma as the interest rates hit 20%.

Unions as a residue of the mob are still here and now they are in government in a big way. Public pay scales are far and away above what is paid in the private sector. The average pay in the state is 45,000 a year. Figure that these people who make up the bulk of taxpayers in Nevada also have to pay Social Security on what is imputed income. Figure SS payments at $3375. Then we take the Unions vig if you are in a union. Since many people work for casinos they are in a unions in some shape or another. Figure the vig at 1% of gross - $450 a year ( yes it’s a guess) .

At 24000 for filing purposes the tax rate is 15% or another $3600 and that leaves 37575 to live on.

Nevada Policy Research Institute has commented that the Brookings institution has calculated that we are taxed on average $5984 a year. Even if you give that a $1000 haircut. That leaves each person in the state a taxload of $4984 a year. Many of the taxes are hidden and come from places like our hidden income tax. But we all pay them.

Now lets do the math. The average take home after taxes and vigs is $37575. The taxes run $4984 a year. That is a tax load of 13.2 percent. ON top of the federal taxes for a middle income family and this is way too high. It should be about half that.

Yes there are other states that have higher tax burdens and we are seeing them come here.
The purpose of taxes is to fund government, but the high tax burden oppresses the people who can best create jobs and wealth, the Entrepreneurs. Along with high barriers to entry at the state and local level and the enormous amount of regulation that has been created to keep people out we find ourselves with little in the way of choices.

If this state is to succeed then cutting taxes and regulation is REQUIRED.

There is ample room in the budget to cut taxes and spending and not affect legitimate government services.

I ask for your vote on June 8th. Early voting starts on May 22nd .

Immigration, legal and illegal

I would support a law similar to the Arizona law that MIRRORS FEDERAL LAW. The protests against such a law are nothing more than astroturf. Generally put together by the unions or by union influence, yelling for all things Marxism. They first yell racism, ignoring the fact that we are not a racist nation. They yell for higher taxes not knowing the first thing about government economics, or if they know, ignoring the facts. They want freebies, taking advantage of our generosity and then paying us back by insulting us. We have had enough.

Illegal immigration has caused such problems and cost society so much more than the people for illegal immigration will ever admit to. The property destruction, the infringed liberties of the citizens of this country, the slavery caused by this heinous crime, is well documented and would fill rooms with paper needed to track them all. These things are all conveniently ignored by the crowd in favor of this illegal activity.

The slap in the face by their own government of every citizen by ignoring their own laws and profiting from this illegal activity is no longer to be tolerated. We are no longer going to tolerate a government that is not going to be accountable. The time of reckoning is coming.

I want immigrants to come here, but legally, through the front door. Then we can use their talents to improve our lives. Legal immigrants are hard working people who can adapt well to new challenges and prosper. They learn English which allows them to communicate with the rest of society. When you can communicate the people prosper, and then we all prosper.

Excessive Government Causes Misery

Of the things that I can think of that causes the most misery is government.  The true functions of government are enough and now they don't do those well either.  In the disguise of altruism they rob from people who are just getting by to give to those who have been conditioned that it's owed to them.  Case in point Glozell on Youtube.  I don't know where she resides and it doesn't matter. The video is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRgB2eeHZEw  and if you have a strong stomach you can watch it.  I found it funny as this is the best commercial against Obamacare I can find.  I doubt she realizes all of the implications of her position on the video and I hope she never finds them all out.

The taxes collected (at the point of a gun) from average Americans and Nevadans are now higher than they have been in  a long time.  The fact that nobody knows how much in taxes they really pay is a testimony to the democrat dishonesty.  And their guile in raising taxes knows no ends.  But apparently their thought is that if you have any money in your pocket they are entitled to it.  The democrats already want to raise 3.7billion from the people of this state in the form of higher taxes.  That will send unemployment to over 15%.

If taxes are so good then I think that all democrats should pay double taxes.  In Democrat states where programs abound for the "disadvantaged" taxes are higher, there are more laws and more crime.  What.a paradise they have created.

If you want lower crime, more employment, and a better life keep the taxes low and government in it's place.

The wonderful world of politics

It seems that the political world is trying to heat up before summer.  Michele Fiore is running as a Republican favorite with a rule 11 letter in congressional district 1.  In case you didn't know that means she is a favorite and was picked. It seems the republican party is trying to forget the TEA Party movement by trying to stack races.  This is going to get really interesting as the party has POd the 3 challengers.  And I don't blame them.   It may just backfire on the state republican party.

Me, I just keep working at building support and gaining volunteers.  It's quiet and it's rewarding and soon we sill take to the streets and start papering the Senate 7 district with a better PLAN.  The signs will be here next week and you should see some progress.

Filing for The State Senate Race

Yesterday, I filed for the State Senate District 7 and it was fairly easy.  I even met one gentleman running for Public Administrator.  We talked about the elections and will do fine.  Not too many names up on the board yet but I figure that it will be full by the 12th.

First Meet and Greet

Not knowing what to expect, this was a very good time.  I met a lot of people who think a bit like I do and it's good to know that there is this kind of support out there.  Mike Montandan, Danny Tarkanian and Glenn Greener were there. Each of us took turns speaking I was a bit nervous and  I was not actually prepared to talk  I was there to watch and learn.  And I did learn quite a bit.
I want to thank Mr. And Mrs. Law for inviting me to their home and giving me such a warm reception.

The campaign is starting

Why run?

Well I got tired of yelling at the TV and decided to do something. The battles will be in the congress and in the state legislatures. Nevada has the opportunity to become another Michigan and California all rolled into one. I plan to work to be sure that does not happen. This can only be done in the legislature.

For lack of a better description I am a conservative or TEA Party individual who happens to be a republican. I know many are just not happy with republicans or democrats and Idon't blame them.

After 4 years of Bush 1, 8years of Clinton, 8 years of W, and now with Obama people are disaffected like never before.

It's time to get up off the couch and get into the fight.
